Gold -  The aesthetic and physical properties have made it one of the most valuable metals in the world. The commodity gold is very malleable and ductile, resists corrosion or oxidation and is found almost always in a pure form. These properties ensured its application in many industries, but none so much as in jewelry. 

Silver -  The commodity silver is usually found as an alloy with gold and other metals, in minerals such as argentite and chlorargyte and in its pure form as native silver. The majority of silver produced originates from the refining of zinc, lead, copper or gold, where it is collected as a byproduct.

The metal is slightly harder than gold, but still very malleable. Despite its excellent electrical conductivity, copper is usually used in electrical applications, because of its lower cost. Silver is found in every continent in countries like Mexico, Canada, Peru, China, Bolivia, Poland and Australia.

Rare Coins -  While investors continue to pour money into all things crypto, there’s another type of currency that appears to be gaining traction. And this one is as “real” as money gets — as in rare coins.

By many accounts, the coin (or numismatic) market has seen tremendous growth since the start of the pandemic, both in terms of number of sales and in the prices for sought-after items. Indeed, in 2021, a 1933 Double Eagle gold U.S. coin, billed as the “holy grail of coins,” sold for $18.9 million at Sotheby’s, with the auction house saying the price nearly doubled the world-record mark for a coin.
